Toni Storm Taps Out Anna Jay On Final Dynamite Before Full Gear

The final episode of AEW Dynamite before Full Gear featured the final hype for all three women’s storylines.

While they didn’t appear on the live broadcast, Nyla Rose and Jade Cargill were featured in a brief video package with their final comments before clashing for the TBS Championship on Saturday.

Britt Baker and Saraya each had backstage promos. Baker cut a rather babyface promo and defended her case for what she has on the line in their first-time match set for Saturday. Meanwhile, Saraya briefly spoke to Renee Paquette about she’s tired of going back and forth with Baker. She’s ready to settle it in the ring.

In the semi-main event of the evening, Toni Storm outlasted Anna Jay in a seven-minute bout. Storm was initially set to face The Bunny, however she was pulled due to illness. Jay filled in and came up short by tapping out.

Post-match, Jamie Hayter entered the ring and shared a few words with Storm during a face-to-face exchange. Storm held the title up, prompting Hayter to shove her before retreating to the back.

This week’s “Full Gear Friday” episode of Rampage will see Athena take on Madison Rayne for the first time ever. Then on Saturday, AEW will present three marquee women’s matches on the Full Gear pay-per-view:

  • Saraya vs. Britt Baker
  • AEW TBS Championship: Jade Cargill (c) vs. Nyla Rose
  • AEW Interim Women’s World Championship: Toni Storm (c) vs. Jamie Hayter
