Toni Storm To Challenge For AEW Women’s Title At Full Gear

Toni Storm is set for a Hollywood Homecoming.

During the October 25 episode of AEW Dynamite, Hikaru Shida defended her AEW Women’s World Championship against Ruby Soho. In the second half of the bout, Shida applied a torture rack briefly. The champ went up top, but Soho threw her off and ripped off a turnbuckle pad to distract the ref.

Soho grabbed a can of spray paint before tossing it to Shida. Soho grabbed the title and Shida accidentally sprayed the belt, allowing Soho to plant Shida for a nearfall. As the back and forth continued, Shida pulled out a Katana, but it wasn’t enough.

Shida hit a Falcon Arrow and then managed to send Soho into the exposed turnbuckle. One more Katana connected to secure Shida’s victory.

Toni Storm made an appearance on the ramp as it was announced that she will challenge for the AEW Women’s World Championship at AEW Full Gear on November 18.

Additionally, this Friday’s Rampage will feature a four-way pitting Abadon, Skye Blue, Willow Nightingale, and Anna Jay against each other. The winner will advance to challenge Shida for the gold on Saturday’s Collision.
