Tessa Blanchard vs Sami Callahan – Slammaversary
This was a history-making inter-gender main event and one that would not disappoint as Tessa would prove that she is one of the brightest stars in professional wrestling today.
oVe lead by Callahan had been running roughshod over the IMPACT roster and destroying all who stood in their way. Blanchard would interrupt one of their beatdowns and take out Jake and Dave Crist. Her actions would rile the vile Callahan who would state that Tessa did not belong in his ring.
Tessa would not back down and they would be locked in a vicious blood feud ever since.
The match was instantly brutal with both fighters going full throttle from the get-go with vicious elbows and power moves to the barricades and ring apron. Callahan would control the match by using his weight and strength advantage but Blanchard took all he could dish out. This was an amazing performance by both competitors and one of the best inter-gender matches going.
Callahan was his usual disgraceful self and would use his brutal and nefarious offence to gain the victory but the match was all about Tessa, her guts, her guile and her megastar status.
Blanchard was the gallant hero who wouldn’t give up and took Callahan to the limit and would solidify her place as IMPACT’s number one priority in the process.
