3. Trish Stratus Vs Mickie Jamies – WrestleMania 22
Easily one of the best and most memorable feuds in WWE history. Trish Stratus was WWE’s women’s division, she was a multi-time champion and fan-favourite mega-star. Mickie James was WWE’s newest Diva and was obsessed with Stratus. James imitated Stratus, followed her every move and fell in love with her. Unformatunalty for Jame, Stratus did not return the compliments and asked for distance and ended their friendship, causing James to go from admirer to destroyer.
James played her part as the psychotic stalker to perfection throughout the match and performed one of the most notorious spots in WrestleMania history in the process. The spot, in which James would like her fingers after grabbing Trish’s genitals, would not fly at all today and isn’t available on the Network.
The match was much more than just a risque spot as the story and the talent involved led to one of the best women’s matches in WrestleMania history and saw Mickie James capture the WWE Women’s Championship for the first time.
