Torrie Wilson to be inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame 2019 class

UPDATE: On Mar. 4, WWE confirmed that Torrie Wilson will, in fact, be going into the Hall of Fame Class of 2019.

Torrie Wilson will be this year’s first solo female inductee into the Hall of Fame, according to an announcement on the WrestleVotes Twitter account. It was previously reported that Chyna will also be inducted as a part of the D-Generation X stable.

She started her wrestling career with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and was involved in the “invasion” storyline that followed when the company was bought out by Vince McMahon. She is known for various feuds with Dawn Marie, Stacy Keibler, and Miss Jackie.

Wilson also played a crucial role in the villainous stable known as Vince’s Devils along with Victoria and Candice Michelle. Her final years saw her in an on-screen relationship with Carlito.

She was most recently involved in WWE’s first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view, Evolution, last October, where she participated in that event’s twenty-woman battle royal. Earlier last year, she participated in the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match in, entering the match at number nine. She eliminated #8 entrant Dana Brooke and was eliminated in turn by #10 entrant Sonya Deville.
