For the second week in a row, Total Divas found itself up against stiff competition and still managed to impress.
After last week’s clash with WWE’s SummerSlam Pay-Per-View, Sunday’s episode aired alongside MTV’s Video Music Awards. Despite that competition, the Total Divas viewership increased from last week, rising from 1.35 million viewers to 1.46 according to TV by the Numbers.
This is still lower than the second (1.5 million) and third (1.67 million) episodes, but this week’s episode matched last week’s 0.7 in the Adults 18-49 demo, once again tying with WWE’s SmackDown in that category.
As was the case last week, it was expected that Total Divas wouldn’t match the stellar ratings from its first few episodes, given the competition it was up against. However, it’s great to see the ratings rise once again, considering how buzzworthy this year’s VMAs were.
