Total Divas shoots… and it scores!
The E! Reality show, which returned last week to 1.3 million viewers, managed to rate even higher in this week’s episode, snagging 1.4 million.
For the all-so-important 18-49 year old demo, Total Divas also rose from last week’s 0.6 to a 0.7, now matching the rating it got for most of its earlier run and topping acclaimed shows such as Boardwalk Empire and Masters of Sex.
Perhaps the most impressive feat though? Keeping Up with the Kardashians didn’t even air this week, as last week was their season finale. The previous two times Total Divas aired without the lead-in support, it fell to its lowest rated and viewed airings of the entire show, snagging a 0.5 and garnering just above 1 million viewers both times.
This is certainly huge for the E! network, as Total Divas essentially just proved it can hold its own without needing to be propped up by more popular shows. Providing there is no sudden collapse in the ratings for the remaining episodes, there will almost certainly be a second season on the way!
