Ahead of Clash at the Castle which takes place this Saturday, Sept. 3, WWE’s Head of Creative Triple H sat down with Ariel Helwani of BT Sports for an in-depth interview. During the interview, Helwani brought up a game of “who will be coming back to WWE.” The first name he asked – Sasha Banks.
“Time will tell, I think in a lot of ways, communication breakdowns are terrible. There’s a communication breakdown there for whatever reason. Starting back up that communication is not a difficult process but it can be a process right? And you have to go through the process.
She’s an unbelievably talented young woman that can do just about anything she wants. It just comes down to what does she want to do now? With her life, her career, whatever that is. The passion clearly for what we do, there’s a passion for other things as well and it comes down to what does she want to do.
It has to be right for her, it has to be right for anybody. As you’ve seen over the course of her career of just coming into the PC and NXT is just an unbelievable performer that I believe in all I have. That is one of the biggest stars in our business.”
Banks along with Naomi were indefinitely suspended on-screen after they left Raw back in May prior to the show starting. As a result, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships were vacated and new champions were just crowned in August after a tournament.
Both Banks and Naomi are both still listed on the WWE.com roster at the time of this writing.
What are your thoughts on what Triple H had to say? Do you think we will see a return of Banks (and Naomi) in the near future? Sound off below.
