The NXT Women’s Championship and the NXT UK Women’s Championship will be unified come Sept. 4 when NXT/NXT UK Worlds Collide takes place. NXT UK is coming to an end and in restructuring for NXT Europe coming in 2023, all the gold from NXT UK will be unified with NXT.
The match will witness the NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose, NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura, and the number one contender Blair Davenport battling it out to become the one and only champion.
On the Aug. 23 episode of NXT 2.0, Davenport won her debut match against Indi Hartwell and took to the mic claiming that she would become champion next. She has been pushing forward to the NXT UK Women’s Championship since her return from injury and now that she is in NXT 2.0 she wants that gold as well.
Rose would make her way to the ring to confront Davenport and demand respect to be put on her name. From holding the belt at 301-days and counting, Rose named herself as the most dominant champion. This remark sparked Satomura’s NXT debut as she made her way out to the ring. Satomura reminded Rose that she is actually the most dominant champion as her reign is longer.
After Satomura made the challenge to unify the titles at Worlds Collide, Davenport spoke up and made sure she would get added to the bout.
