WWE Hall of Famer and women’s wrestling legend, Trish Stratus will join Canada’s Got Talent as one of the new judges.
Stratus joins fellow judges Howie Mandel, Kardinal Offishall, and Lilly Singh with Lindsay Ell as the host of the show.
The announcement was made via the show’s official Twitter account. Stratus then posted on Instagram to celebrate her new role:
“Guys… it’s time to rock & roll! I’m so excited that I can finally share that I will be in the judges chair for Canada’s Got Talent! Ahhh!! The show returns for its second season after a near ten year hiatus. The show originally debuted in 2012 but wasn’t renewed and ultimately cancelled three years later in 2015.
Stratus is a legend in the wrestling business. A trailblazer in women’s wrestling, who inspired generations of future wrestlers.
Performers such as Alexa Bliss, Carmella, Deonna Purrazzo, Sasha Banks, and Bayley all cited her as inspiration for getting into professional wrestling.
The seven-time women’s champion was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.
She last performed in 2019, coming out of retirement to face Charlotte Flair at that year’s SummerSlam.
