In a recent interview with Justin Dhillon on Casual Conversations with The Classic, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus was asked who she would like to see be inducted.
“The aforementioned Mickie James, that’s for sure. I’d like to Victoria [get inducted]. Soon would be great. I think she’s well deserving. I think she’s underrated. I do so many interviews, and people ask me about different feud and different rivalries. I feel like when we were [competing], women’s wrestling was just turning the corner as far as being taken serious. Those matches with her that people [see] like, ‘Oh, this actually legit, and this is a viable part of the entire show.’ So yeah, Victoria for the Hall of Fame,” – Credit to Fightful
Over her time in the WWE, Stratus would have memorable feuds with several stars so it’s no surprise she would bringing up two of her biggest rivals.
The induction of Victoria has been one brought up nearly every year by fans and Stratus echoes these sentiments. Debuting in 2000 as one of the Godfather’s Ho’s, it wasn’t until 2002 that Victoria would burst into the scene and be pushed to win the WWE Women’s Championship, a title she held twice.
As her career spanned many eras, Victoria faced off against many of the greatest female superstars such as Stratus, Jazz, Beth Phoenix and Lita. Later in her career, she would appear predominantly on Smackdown wrestling less experienced superstars such as The Bella Twins, Cherry and Maria before retiring from the WWE in 2009.
While Victoria would enjoy a stint in TNA, even returning there recently, she would not appear in WWE again until a shock return in the 2021 Royal Rumble.
Fans bring up Victoria regularly as a female superstar not given equal respect for her efforts in improving women’s wrestling and an eventual Hall of Fame induction is often discussed.
