Two qualifying matches to take place this week for future Ladder Match

As mentioned earlier today, it was announced that the NXT TakeOver: Tampa Bay matches would still take place on future episodes of NXT. This will start on April 1. Before the event had to be canceled, there were three women who qualified for the number one contender Ladder Match. Those ladies are Chelsea Green, Mia Yim, and Tegan Nox. The plan was to have six women in that match.

NXT has now announced that two more qualifying matches will take place this Wednesday. Originally it was supposed to be Candice LeRae vs. Mercedes Martinez to determine the fourth spot. This match did not continue to take place. LeRae is now set to face Kayden Carter.

The other match scheduled is Xia Li vs. Aliyah. The winners of these two matches will become the fourth and fifth participants. If six is still the plan, then that might mean that the ladder match may not take place on April 1. It may be the following week, or they may leave the match at five.
