The field is officially set for the Women’s Tag Team Championship match this Sunday. Now, we know the two teams who will open the Elimination Chamber match, The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection and Fire ‘N’ Desire; which, of course, is the team of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.
Tonight, on SmackDown Live, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville competed in a triple-threat tag team match against Naomi and Carmella and The IIconics to decide who would start the match from the blue brand. The losing team would join Sasha Banks and Bayley as the first two teams in the ring on Sunday.
Peyton Royce immediately tagged herself out, leaving the other two teams to fight it out for the rest of the match. In the end, Naomi finally got her revenge on Mandy after The Golden Goddess tormented her for weeks; pinning her to put her team at an immediate disadvantage in the Elimination Chamber match.
Afterward, The IIconics, who bided their time all match, jumped Naomi and Carmella, then stood stall to close the segment. Will their opportunistic heel tactics pay off on Sunday? Honestly, all three teams looked like viable contenders.
What do you think? Will either The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection or Fire ‘N’ Desire go the distance to leave the chamber as the inaugural Women’s Tag Team Champions? Drop a comment below.
