The recent edition of AEW Rampage saw the confirmation of two women’s title matches for the March 6th PPV Revolution.
The AEW Women’s Championship match between Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa made official with a contract signing, while commentary revealed Jade Cargill will defend the TBS Championship against Tay Conti.
Conti confronted Cargill on Dynamite after the TBS Champion demanded a new challenger as she remained undefeated going 28-0. Conti got in Cargill’s face before getting flattened with a brutal pump kick. The match was made official during Friday night’s show and on the promotion’s social media platforms.
The show also featured the contract signing for the AEW women’s title match, which of course ended in chaos.
Rosa signed the contract immediately before declaring she be the next AEW Women’s Champion. Unnerved by Rosa’s word Baker took to the microphone to calmly and confidently tell her longtime rival that she will never reach her levels of star power and the title is going nowhere.
As soon as the champ put pen to paper Rosa leapt over the desk taking Baker out. A melee ensued as Baker’s entourage, Rebel and Jamie Hayter attacked Rosa. Mercedes Martinez entered the fray sending Hayter crashing through the table as Rosa stood tall with the title.
AEW Revolution takes place on Sunday, March 6th at the Addition Arena, Orlando, FL, and is available on FITE TV.
