We’re again bringing you a special edition of Unwrapped, where we cover multi-Diva shoots in a miniaturized version of our regular “unwrappings”, focusing on the looks and ensembles our Divas have put together. This time, we’re taking a look at the “Diva Bowl” photoshoot, in which last Monday’s participants in Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s tag team match show off their football-themed ring gear. Click here to see the full photoshoot.
Alicia Fox
Grade: Sweet. Cutting her jersey into little bits, Alicia took the bland heel jersey (what, no Pittsburgh rival jersey?) to the next level, giving it some spunk. It’s refreshing to not see something modified merely to show more chest or stomach. The studded headband is awesome too, and gives the look that Alicia touch. I love it–the whole thing screams “Alicia”, but still fits the theme perfectly.
Beth Phoenix
Grade: Sweet. Of course, her requisite Glamazon headband is there, but it fits in perfectly with the white attire. I like how the jersey is cut into slits like male athletes to do the back of their shirts. It’s sexy, but not cheeky. If you look closely, the sleeves are braided too–nice touch. I love the close-up pose too–I’ve bet you’ve never seen a holder look that intimidating.
Brie Bella
Grade: Sweet. Finally, a place where the Bella headband works! Granted, its an sports headband, but still.. Brie made a unique modification to her jersey, snipping out the front completely but leaving the back hanging. It’s strange, but I kind of like it. Did you notice that she and Nikki are sharing a pair of gloves? Ah, the sacrifices of being a twin!
Eve Torres
Grade: Sweet. A few yellow touches with ribbons and yellow high-top Converse look really cute, especially with her hair tied into pigtails. Perhaps it’s a little too cutesy, but I’ll be damned it she doesn’t look adorable. Someone needs to tell her to take the stickers off the bottom of her shoes, though..

Gail Kim
Grade: Bland. This is pretty boring–just a referee’s jersey Diva-ed up like we’ve seen so many times before. Of course, Gail adds tiny touches, but it’s still snoresville. And can someone please take away her penalty flags? That gag during the match was way too silly.
Jillian
Grade: Bland. Jillian’s never much of a risk taker in the wardrobe department.. I guess she leaves the excitement to her character’s on-screen antics. Here, it’s more of the same, and she didn’t put much effort into customizing it. It’s cute, don’t get me wrong, but when Divas are going all out to gussy up their jerseys, keeping it so bland isn’t going to do you any favors.
Kelly Kelly
Grade: Sour. OF COURSE Kelly’s wearing pink! How else would you be able to tell she was female? A hot pink sports bra is so uncreative and sorority chick-like it’s ridiculous. She might as well be advertising an NFL-themed night at a night club. Puke. Put some effort into it, Kelly! Don’t just stare at me with those soulless eyes, Barbie, or I’ll send you back to the Mattel factory.
Layla
Grade: Sweet. Someone wasn’t a Left-Eye fan when TLC was in its heyday. Layla’s sporting eyeblack, but only under her right eye, which for some reason looks less silly than the Divas wearing it under both eyes. Her jersey’s knotted up and snipped to oblivion, but it look cute in a slapdash way. The ponytail works for her too, in all its messy glory.
Maria
Grade: Sour. Leave it to Maria to take a theme to the extreme. She’s absolutely dissected her jersey, allowing a pink sports bra to show through. She’s also got socks cut up and pulled up to her elbows, a pink belt, and white gloves. I have to admit, this is one of the few times her gloves don’t irk me, but that’s probably because there’s plenty of other things to catch my attention first. Of course, she’s got on the cliche eyeblack–why wouldn’t she? The tough girl poses look overdone too but then again, it all does.
Melina
Grade: Sweet. Melina modified her jersey a bit, adding yellow accenting laces in different spots. It’s a cute touch, different from simply putting on a jersey and calling it a day. The yellow wristbands are a classic Melina accent, but they blend in perfectly with the Steelers’ color theme. Nice Nikes, too..
Michelle McCool
Grade: Sweet. Taking inspiration from the pigskin itself, Michelle’s laced together her top. It looks really cool–both sexy and athletic–in a way that’s not just a girl wearing a sports uniform. She doesn’t look like she’s in Maxim, let’s just say.. The effort is clear, but it’s not in your face. Just the way I like it..
Mickie James
Grade: Sweet. Mickie took the decorating staple of every girls sports team everywhere–ribbons! The way she’s tied them to her jersey look cute and fit with her cutesy babyface persona. She’s also got a hat on, as it’s her “thing”. I like that she’s injected her personal style into it just enough. The white sneakers look cute, but with how platformed the soles are, they look mighty difficult to wrestle in.
Natalya
Grade: Sweet. Nattie’s touch on the “heel team” top is simple but effective–it’s cropped and v-neck. The rest of the look is similarly simple, but when you have these types of gimmick matches, it’s almost refreshing to see someone who didn’t take it to the extreme. And unlike Jillian’s simple look, there’s still a bit of excitement to it–see the Hart Dynasty flames flame peeking through?
Nikki Bella
Grade: Sweet. The bouffant half ponytail is super cute, as is the way she modified the jersey. The eyeblack is so cliche, but her red lips look great and just about make up for it. Her red and silver shoes look great too.
