Every week, following WWE.com and ImpactWrestling.com’s photoshoot updates, we’ll take a look at the newest Diva and Knockout shoots and give you the opportunity to voice your opinions on them in a feature we lovingly call Unwrapped. Let’s unwrap this week’s eye candy, featuring Beth Phoenix, Maryse and Tamina:
Note about TNA photoshoots: Many of the new photoshoots on ImpactWrestling.com only consist of 3 or fewer photos, which hardly lends enough material for an Unwrapped post. In order to make it worth your (and my) while, I’ll only cover ones with 3 or more photos to them. Please don’t leave comments asking about a missing photoshoot.
Beth Phoenix
This zig-zag dress highlights Beth’s curves in just the right way: it’s a classic example of looking sexy but not overdoing it, and the boots and tights further that impression. I love the blazer too. In fact, I wish it was present in more of the shots, because it really popped against all the black and cream in the rest of the outfit. Her poses are at their best when they’re slightly serious, but that’s not to say that a smiling Beth is unconvincing; it’s just that her enticing Glamazon persona shines through more with a straight face. This shoot serves to highlight some of the Glamazon’s greatest assests, namely her hips and her arms, and though her poses help to show them off, it’s really the dress that best compliments them. It’s like that dress was made for her.

Maryse
This is almost a stereotypical sex siren look: a tight, short strapless red dress, pin-straight hair and black high heels. Maryse wears it well, of course, though she looks almost un-Maryse in some of her poses: she’s smiling and looking inviting. This isn’t a bad thing, but it’s funny that in a most sexy and unattainable look, she looks downright friendly. Some of that classic Maryse sass is there as well, though she stops short at going all Jessica Rabbit. Hm.. Halloween costume, anyone? I guess I should just appreciate a little newness and range in Maryse’s posing, but if there was any outfit in which to pull out all the sultry looks and dramatic poses, this was it.

Tamina
Tamina has really come a long way in producing interesting photoshoots, and this is her best one yet. Her outfit, a high-waisted skirt over a black and white leopard print corset-like top. It’s sleek, stylish and eye catching in just the right way, and the colors play perfectly against the gray background. Speaking of eye-catching, her braided hair is something to behold as well, and I love the way it’s placed, making for a cool asymmetrical look. This is the edgiest and sexiest Tamina has looked, and the only fault I can find with this shoot is her poses: they still look a little stiff. Still, she’s showing a lot of growth in that regard. We just need to banish her hands from her hips, at least for a few shots.
