During IMPACT’s Rebellion event this weekend, they advertised the next few pay-per-view events that are coming up. They announced a couple of IMPACT Plus events which will be Under Siege on May 15 and Against All Odds for June 12. One of the companies biggest pay-per-view events is coming in July and that is Slammiversary. The exact date was not announced.
In the video, it teases a return of both Mickie James and Chelsea Green [along with Samoa Joe]. Both women were recently released from WWE during their annual cuts after WrestleMania. They are under a non-compete clause for 90-days which would take them to July 14. The tag line of Slammiversary is “Our World Changes Again.”
Both James and Green are prior Knockouts Champions. In IMPACT, James is most known for her Hardcore Country gimmick whereas Green was known as Laurel Van Ness with her maniacal persona in a ripped-up wedding dress and smeared make-up.
IMPACT did a similar video last year for Slammiversary after WWE released individuals in 2020. In last year’s video, some but not all appeared at last year’s event.
Lastly, although not shown physically in the video, an Australian flag was shown which could symbolize Billie Kay and Peyton Royce who was let go from WWE when Green and James were a couple of weeks ago.
