AEW had its fall-out from Double or Nothing this week on Dynamite. There was one important person missing from the broadcast and that was the AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa. Rosa faced Serena Deeb in a crowd favorite match on Sunday where the champion retained her title.
There are a couple of reports floating around in regards to Rosa. The one directly linked to her missing last night’s show says it was due to illness. She is not reported to be injured.
According to PWInsider, “word making the rounds is that Rosa was at the taping but wasn’t feeling well and was sent home to convalesce by the company’s doctor.”
This news came out shortly after a report from What Culture stated that their sources say Rosa “has become frustrated with how little she has been on-screen.” Despite the report by PWInsider saying she was sent home during illness, nothing was mentioned about her match from Double or Nothing on Dynamite. She was listed on the preview for Dynamite on the company’s Twitter account.
Rosa nor AEW have commented on Rosa not appearing on Dynamite but the champion did post the following today on her social media.
