Summer Rae is featured in the September issue of Iron Man magazine, which hit newsstands earlier this week.
To celebrate the big feature, WWE.com spoke to Summer about the shoot and took us behind the scenes in a video featurette.
On booking the shoot: “‘Iron Man’ loved my message about having a healthy lifestyle. I got the shoot on my own, which I am very proud of.”
Her pre-shoot diet: “I was dieting leading up to [the shoot]. Five days before, I began carb cycling and pulled water. I usually eat a [candy bar] beforehand. I am very depleted before a shoot like that and low on sugar. This time, though, I went with rice cakes and almond butter.”
Advice she received about dealing with public attention: “Zeb Colter would say he is never bothered when people asked him for an autograph; when I should be bothered is when they stop asking.”
Summer also spoke about The Dean Thomas Moinet Foundation, her family’s North Carolina-based charity that was established to help “medically fragile” children and their families. You can read the full interview on WWE.com.
