WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon made an appearance on this morning’s edition of Good Morning America, discussing the WWE’s philanthropic efforts as well as the crucial role women play in the WWE and the world at large.
She stressed the importance of giving women a “seat at the table,” as women offer a unique perspective and the best decisions are made when a diversity of opinions are voiced.
Stephanie shared her journey to the top of the WWE, recalling how she started out as a receptionist. She says being both a woman and the boss’s daughter has made her fight even harder to prove that she has earned what she’s achieved.
As a mother of three daughters, Stephanie says she’s proving to them that a woman can do anything. She references the Diva Revolution, acknowledging that the WWE heard the pleas of Diva fans.
Stephanie closes the segment by sharing her personal definition of “girl power”: confidence, believing in yourself, standing up for yourself and not taking “no” for an answer.
