Stephanie McMahon: Trish’s first big break in wrestling came at the hands of (quite literally) Vince McMahon, and as a result, Stephanie. Disputes between the McMahon family led to Linda McMahon falling into a comatose, wheelchair-bound state. Vince sickeningly took advantage of this fact, beginning a very public affair with Trish right in front of Linda’s eyes. Their relationship angered Stephanie; she wanted to be known as the most dominant woman in the McMahon family. Stephanie would go on to gain her father’s approval and would make it quite clear that he favoured her more, as the two would bully, verbally abuse and demean Trish whenever they pleased. Trish grew tired of the misogynistic treatment and finally stood up for herself at WrestleMania 17, slapping Vince and chasing Stephanie from ringside, instantly turning into a fan favorite. Having helped put her on the map, Stephanie would be a fitting choice for the nod.
