The March 27 episode of AEW Dynamite in Quebec City featured Kris Statlander, Skye Blue, Anna Jay, and Willow Nightingale clashing in a four-way to determine who will earn the TBS title shot at AEW Dynasty.
Mercedes Moné joined commentary to watch as Skye Blue made sure to play spoiler for Statlander’s momentum. In response, Willow ran over Skye at ringside with a pounce. Mercedes then stood up for a stare-down with Nightingale heading into the commercial break.
We returned to Statlander planting Blue into the mat for a nearfall. Stat then went up top but was cut off by Anna, who landed a superplex. Willow broke the cover with a senton shortly before Skye hit Code Blue. Anna dropped Stat with a flatliner on Blue, but both women kicked out.
On the apron, Willow countered a dragon suplex in order to hit Blue with a DVD, which stunned Mercedes. Anna nearly put Kris away, but Willow ran in and slammed Jay for the three-count.
As a result, Nightingale will now challenge Julia Hart on April 21 in St. Louis. However, Hart wasted little time in attacking Willow post-match to send a message. She then stared down Moné while holding up her title.
We also saw a new vignette from “Timeless” Toni Storm, who appeared alongside the host of Turner Classic Movies Ben Mankiewicz.
