Ring of Honor’s Death Before Dishonor pre-show will feature a women’s match. The event takes place this Saturday, July 23.
As announced during the July 20th edition of AEW Dynamite, Willow Nightingale will go one-on-one with Allysin Kay this Saturday during the ROH Death Before Dishonor Zero Hour pre-show.
The bout will be the first of two women’s matches that night as Mercedes Martinez will defend her ROH Women’s World Championship against Serena Deeb during the main card.
While Nightingale vs. Kay has no current storyline built for this particular event, the match-up will harken back to the ROH Women’s World Championship Quest for Gold tournament last year. During a first-round match last August, Allysin Kay defeated Willow to advance.
Willow has been featured more in AEW as of late, as she just teamed with Athena in a losing effort on the July 20th Dynamite. She also competed at ROH Supercard of Honor in April in the interim championship match against Martinez.
Meanwhile, this will mark Allysin Kay’s first ROH appearance since Final Battle in December. She has regularly competed for Women’s Wrestling Army in the months since.
