Winners & Losers: SmackDown 10.30.20

We’ve finally reached Friday in order to see the new SmackDown Women’s Champion, Sasha Banks, on our television screens. Banks made her way to the ring with not only her newly won title but the chair that symbolizes the demise of her friendship with Bayley.

Banks goes over the destruction of her relationship with Bayley who said she was like a sister to her. She then discusses the future and that is her match at Survivor Series in the Champion vs. Champion match against RAW Women’s Champion, Asuka. The two certainly have had their run-ins before, but Bayley makes her way out to the ramp to give her two cents on the matter.

Bayley feels that Banks can’t beat Asuka without having the Role Model in her corner. So in order to do her a “favor”, she lays down the challenge to face Banks next week in a rematch for the SmackDown Women’s Title. Bayley focuses on the fact that Banks can certainly win championships, but she can’t ever seem to retain them. Unfortunately for The Boss, the history books do agree with Bayley in this regard.

The big question is, will they allow Banks to continue to be champion? Or will this just be a way to put the belt right back on Bayley? With Survivor Series not having the title on the line, it would ensure that Banks would make it past her 30-day curse that she can never break. That is, if she retains against Bayley next week.

While we are speaking on what will happen next week, we FINALLY see something from Carmella. Carmella was revealed as the SmackDown Mystery Woman weeks ago and we haven’t heard from her since. The Draft kept her on the blue brand, but we still are waiting.

The promo sees Carmella sipping on some champagne as she has declared herself as “that woman.” She is the one that calls the shots and who always wins. One who does whatever it takes to get ahead and makes her own rules.

For next week she declares that the whole world will know why she is untouchable.

There was one women’s match (eye rolls) this week. It was a qualifying match for the SmackDown women’s team at Survivor Series. RAW became very lazy with their decision to announce their five women. Giving four of them the spots automatically and then doing one qualifying match in which Lana won.

They seem to be going a little slower forming the blue brand’s team. Bianca Belair qualified as she defeated Natalya and Billie Kay. They could have certainly squeezed in a second qualifying match because we all know they would never make the matches for the women very long. Belair hit the K.O.D. to get the pin on Kay.

It would have definitely been a shock if Belair didn’t win this.

Let’s get into the Winners & Losers of the week:

WINNER: Bianca Belair

Bianca is the clear winner overall. Her push is finally happening and it is clear that she is being favored. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was the reason SmackDown wins this year and she is the sole survivor. I can only hope and assume that Sasha remains champion and Bianca faces her next.

LOSER: Billie Kay

At least she was involved in a match, but I really wanted her to be on the Survivor Series team. Clearly she isn’t going to be and neither was Peyton Royce. It literally makes zero sense why they broke up a completely good tag team for no reason. If they were to be pushing Peyton or Billie (or both) by now then I would be okay with it. So far they had Peyton have one match with Asuka and that was as much as they allowed us to see what she could do on her own. And Billie was still in her corner at that time.

Sasha and Bayley’s segment was good, however, it wasn’t anything super different than what we have heard before. No offense to Bayley, but they better not have Sasha lose next week. She needs to be champion at least until WrestleMania.
