Women of Honor Write-Up (November 8th 2017): Virtuous or Victorious?

So, this is it Women of Honor readers. One of the recent rivalries that will be entering it’ss first much anticipated confrontation. Two former friends and training partners, battling it out all due to petty jealousy.

The undefeated Karen Q faces against the Virtuosa, Deonna Purrazzo at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. Let’s see how these two did!

As Karen Q is making her ‘victorious’ entrance, we see that The Exotic Goddess, Mandy Leon has joined Ian Riccaboni on commentary for the match.

The two start off with a small bit of mockery to each other, showing they have little love for each other these days. The intensity between the two would pick up more and more as the match went on.

Towards the end of the match, the referee accidentally got kicked down by Deonna. When this happened, Deonna had Karen rolled up for a three count victory, but of course, the ref was not conscious to make the count. As Deonna checks the ref, Q exits the ring and grabs a steel chair, which she uses on Deonna. Karen then scores the VICTORIOUS pinfall as both Ian and Mandy disclaim their displeasure for the way the ending of this match went down.

*EDIT NOTICE!*

Not long after I uploaded this article, I came across this ‘backstage interview’ with Karen Q where Deonna challenges her to a No Disqualification match. This will apparently take place on the 18th November in Texas.

Thoughts: For the first exchange between these two in Women of Honor, it makes sense for the match to have ended in the way it did. These two clear weren’t going to have a one and one match to end their rivalry, and this ended proved that.

Karen and Deonna both did decent enough in their own right, obviously not pulling out their best work. But hopefully they will do that during a more high stakes match down the line. Both women are definitely capable of much more ring wise, so maybe that’s why this match was as short as it was. At least I’d like to think so anyway.

Either way, I’m sure the next encounter between these two will be even more high stakes than this one. And I for one, cannot wait to see it happen.

But what did you all think? Did you like the way the match ended? Do you see other women trying to stop Karen over her actions against Deonna? And more importantly, SHOULD ROH HAVE A WOMEN OF HONOR CHAMPIONSHIP ALREADY?!? (Was I too obvious there?) Let us know in the comments below!
