Every hour until the clock strikes midnight (Eastern time) and we usher in 2014, Diva Dirt will highlight – in no particular order – the women who made an impact in 2013.
Stephanie McMahon
Our choice for Heel of the Year just happens to be one of our fabulous Women of the Year as well. This is almost a no-brainer as Stephanie McMahon embodies everything that a strong, powerful female should be. As a wife and mother, Stephanie has a full-time job. Those things aren’t easy to do, but when you add in the fact she helps run a multibillion dollar company and maintains a steady presence on a weekly television show it seems almost impossible.
But the McMahon princess does it all and I can only assume she tackles her personal life with as much passion as she tackles what we get to see on TV. For months, Stephanie has injected much needed life into the sometimes stale WWE flagship show, Raw. She’s gone back to being that person we all love to hate, and she’s still a better heel than anyone, male or female, in that company. Her storylines haven’t exactly been perfect, but Stephanie has managed to make them into something much more than what they should be. Her talent is in her genes, but it’s her passion for what she does that shines through.
2013 will come to an end with the Authority still reeking havoc within the WWE and unless something drastic happens, 2014 will continue to be the same. In the end, we’ll all win because if this. I know that I’m personally okay with anything that keeps Stephanie McMahon on my TV screen.
Come back at the top of every hour to see who else has been crowned one of 2013’s “Women of the Year”.
