It has been announced that Sasha Banks and Bayley will have to continue to put in the work as they will be defending their Women’s Tag Team Championships at the Payback pay-per-view. This will be the first Payback event since 2017.
With the duo holding all of the gold makes them very busy. This event will be happening on Aug. 30, just one week after SummerSlam. At the time of this writing, we do not know who their opponents will be.
Speaking of SummerSlam, Bayley and Sasha Banks will be defending their singles championship against the same woman. Asuka won a Triple Brand Battle Royal on SmackDown which makes her the number one contender for Bayley’s SmackDown Women’s Title. The Empress defeated Bayley in a non-title match on RAW this week as well which means she earned her shot at Banks as well for the RAW Women’s Title.
With a small tag-team division, it will be interesting to see who gets to be challengers to the tag titles. Who do you think will get this opportunity? Will it be a current team or a new team?
Also, will Bayley and Banks still be double champs heading into Payback? Are Banks and Bayley in jeopardy of losing all of their gold or will they continue to dominate?
