The Fabulous Moolah, October 17-25,1999.
At least the last champion was a wrestler. As you can tell, 1999-2000 was not a good time for the WWF Women’s Title. Ivory successfully defended her title against the likes of Jacqueline, Luna, and Tori, and she lost her title to a 76-year-old woman. I’m going, to be honest, I never got the hype over Moolah; I have seen her old work, and while she wasn’t garbage, she was nowhere near the best women’s wrestler. Fast forward to 1999, and Moolah, while she can still take bumps, is well past her prime, and she manages to beat Ivory, a woman half her age. Moolah held the title for eight days, and had a very, ahem, exciting defence against Mae Young, and lost it back to Ivory after a forearm to the face.
