A WrestleMania 32 match for the ages has landed on WWE’s Top 50 Greatest WrestleMania Matches Ever!
WWE has been counting down the best WrestleMania matches every day leading up to this year’s event. WrestleMania 32 was a pivotal point in women’s wrestling history. It was at a moment where the women emerged from the Divas era and were now called WWE Superstars just as their male counterparts. At this WrestleMania, a Triple Threat match took place which would replace the Divas Champions (held by Charlotte Flair) and replace it with the WWE Women’s Championship (later named WWE Raw Women’s Championship and currently back to the WWE Women’s Championship name used today). The match included Flair, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch. Flair would go on to retain the championship.
This match is ranked number 31 on the list of 50 and is only the second women’s match to make the list, so far. The first was back at number 36 which was from WrestleMania 38 as Becky Lynch defended the Raw Women’s Title against Bianca Belair.
With many more matches to come in future days, hopefully we will see more great women’s matches pop up.
