Ronda Rousey is currently slotted to defend her Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 35 against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. Since it was announced, the Triple Threat Match has been expected to close out the show. While this still appears to be the case, it appears WWE have already scrapped their original plans for the match’s ending.
Per a report from PWMania, WWE originally planned for Becky Lynch to win the title and be embraced by her opponents. The rest of the women’s locker room would have been led to the ring by Stephanie McMahon to applaud the three competitors to wrap up the show.
It would appear that plans for such a feel good moment were scrapped once Rousey turned heel. The creative team no longer seem keen on ending WrestleMania with the three rivals showing a sign of respect. With that said, the report makes sure to mention that this doesn’t means that plans have been “completely scrapped.” The Man could still very well walk out of Mania with the title. She just might not embrace with either of her opponents, or she may just embrace with Charlotte.
Regardless of heel/face affiliations, do you think it would be appropriate for three rivals to embrace each other to end WrestleMania? Let us know in the comment section below.
