Update: The Women’s Tag Team Title and RAW Women’s Title matches will take place tonight.
WrestleMania 36 will be one to remember. For the first time in the history of WWE, WrestleMania will take place in front of no crowd. As a result of the very serious COVID-19 pandemic, it has also been taped. It will be aired over the course of two nights (tonight and tomorrow).
There is a positive history making point throughout all of this and that is there will be five women’s matches to watch. It is uncertain as to which matches will be on which night, but these are the five matches listed on the card:
Natalya vs. Liv Morgan – Kickoff Show
Bayley (c) vs. Sasha Banks vs. Lacey Evans vs. Tamina vs. Naomi – Fatal Five-way Elimination for the SmackDown Women’s Championship
The Kabuki Warriors (c) vs. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross – Women’s Tag Team Championship
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Shayna Baszler – RAW Women’s Championship
Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair – NXT Women’s Championship
There have been back and forth rumors of the RAW Women’s Championship match being the main event of one of the two nights. It seems like it may be tonight over tomorrow.
