March 28th, 1999
At the fifteenth WrestleMania, Sable defended the Women’s Championship against former superfan Tori.
Tori, wrestling in just her second WWE match, showed no hesitation, brutally attacking Sable. She seemed to have the championship well within her grasp, but the debut of Nicole Bass signaled the end of her hopes. Bass hit Tori with a devastating gorilla press, allowing Sable to hit the Sable Bomb and retain the title.
