WWE Hall of Famer Mae Young passed away tonight at age 90.
Mae had been receiving hospice care for the past few weeks due to an unknown illness. Last week, rumors swirled that she had passed, but were soon debunked.
Tonight, Stephanie McMahon broke the news of Mae’s death, tweeting:
#RIPTheOneandOnlyGreatMaeYoung A true pioneer and legend has passed tonight. Long live the memory of my friend and @WWE Hall of Famer.

WWE.com has also confirmed her passing.
Mae was a true veteran of the wrestling business, competing in her first match in 1939. She holds the distinction of being the only wrestler to compete in nine different decades.
Our thoughts are with Mae’s family and friends.
