WWE Divas Past and Present Support Darren Young in Coming Out

WWE Divas past and present have taken to Twitter to congratulate WWE Superstar Darren Young, who came out as gay earlier today in an interview with TMZ.

Next to show her support was Tamina Snuka, who worked closely with Darren as part of a romance storyline on NXT: Redemption. She applauded Darren’s heart and courage. She said:

Finally, former Diva Cherry said that seeing Darren happy makes her happy. She tweeted:

Darren’s decision to come out is historic for the world of sports entertainment. Although there have been open gay and bisexual wrestlers in the past, Darren is the first to come out while under WWE contract.

All of the Diva Dirt staff commend Darren on his bravery! We’re so glad to see how far the wrestling world – and the world at large – has come in accepting individuals of every sexuality.
