WWE House Show Rundown: Results from August 26th-28th, 2011

Having trouble keeping up with all of the mainstream women’s wrestling that takes place off TV? Well fear no more! Diva Dirt has got your back with the House Show Roundown! Without any further ado, let’s kick things off!

This week, both Raw & SmackDown were in action, as the Raw side of things brought us the inevitable Kelly Kelly & Eve Torres teaming together to face both Brie & Nikki Bella in tag team action. SmackDown went a different route, first providing AJ against Tamina, but then adding in Kaitlyn & Natalya for their second show to form a tag team bout. What happened this weekend? Check out the results below:

Friday August 26th

WWE Raw in Jackson, Mississippi
Kelly Kelly & Eve Torres def. The Bella Twins
“Kelly and Eve won with Kelly’s finisher on one of the twins. ” (Source)

Saturday August 27th

WWE Raw in Memphis, Tennessee
Divas Champion, Kelly Kelly & Eve Torres def. The Bella Twins

“Longer-than-TV Divas Match. Good action.” (Source)

WWE Smackdown in Cape Girardeau, Missouri
AJ def. Tamina

“AJ won with a clean pin.” (Source)

Sunday August 28th

WWE Raw in North Little Rock, Arkansas
Kelly Kelly & Eve Torres def. The Bella Twins

“Standard Divas match that lasted longer than it does on TV. It really wasn’t THAT bad and the crowd seemed to enjoy K2’s huracanrana and stink face. ” (Source)

WWE Smackdown in Springfield, Missouri
AJ & Kaitlyn def. Natalya & Tamina

“After the match, Tamina and Natalya got into an argument outside of the ring, which escalated to pushing and shoving, Natalya was held back by a referee.” (Source)

Thoughts: Raw had pretty much the same match we’ve been seeing for a while so I don’t have much to say on that, but SmackDown is where I’m interested, particularly the Sunday show. I assumed Natalya & Tamina may be on the same page since commentary continuously puts over Tamina as being similar to the Divas of Doom, but I kind of like it just being Nattie and Beth against everyone else. I’d love to see video of the aftermath to that show. Hopefully it hits the Internet soon. Overall, Raw’s drifting towards the same ol’ as SmackDown seems to be breathing life into something fresh.
