It’s been a whirlwind year for Toni Storm on the Independent circuit – she’s been racking up titles wherever she goes. Now it’s being speculated that her success has WWE eyeing her.
During WWE’s recent live event in Bournemouth, UK, company officials apparently played an advert in order to hype up the upcoming WWE tour of the United Kingdom which is scheduled to take place on Monday, June 18th, and Tuesday, June 19th.
During the video several WWE UK stars were featured, including PROGRESS Women’s Champion and wXw Women’s Champion Toni Storm.
According to the Observer, it’s believed in the UK that Storm will be singing with WWE soon.
Even so, her contract with STARDOM, where she’s the World of STARDOM Champion doesn’t end until around July.
She is also slated to defend her title against Jinny at PROGRESS Chapter 69 on Sunday, May 20.
During WrestleMania weekend Toni Storm became the first woman to defend her PROGRESS Women’s Championship against WWE talent when she took on Lacey Evans.
Storm also participated in the Mae Young Classic, representing Australia, advancing as far as the semifinals before being defeated by Kairi Sane.
She is the first woman to be advertised for the UK tour.
