WWE Mixed Match Challenge Week 2

WWE’s Mixed Match Challenge continued this week on Facebook Watch in a match-up that saw Raw Superstars Asuka and The Miz taking on SmackDown Superstars Carmella and Big E.

A tossing takedown and abdominal stretch gives Big E early control over The Miz at the start of the match. Big E whips Miz to the ropes and takes him down upon return with a back elbow. The Miz heads to his corner as the fans chanted “We want Asuka”, he tags her in. Carmella reluctantly enters the ring.

Asuka goes for a high kick but misses. Carmella heads to Big E’s corner where he jumps off the ring apron and to pull a big “L” letter from under the ring. He hands the “L” to Carmella who then hands it over to Asuka. Asuka accepts the “L” letter but then destroys it causing Carmella to tag Big E back in to the match.

The Miz goes on the attack with a big boot and stomps. He runs the ropes but gets Big E counters with belly-to-belly suplexes. Big E sets up for went the Big Ending but The Miz reversed with a DDT. He goes for the cover but Carmella ran in to break the pin.

Enter Asuka to help her partner and confront Carmella. Asuka and The Miz connect Miz Kicks on their respective opponents. The Miz stays in control with a neck breaker over Big E for a two count.

The Miz runs the ropes to land big boots to Big E’s face. He charges after Big E from a corner but misses his attack, Asuka tags herself in and strikes down Carmella with a kicks and a flying hip attack.

While Asuka was pepping up with The Miz, Carmella found an opening to attack Asuka with a super kick. She begins to slap Asuka but Asuka responds with a spinning back fist.

Asuka runs the ropes and takes Carmella down with a kick. Asuka then locks in an Arm Bar, while Miz pulled Big E off the ring apron. Carmella taps out and Asuka and The Miz will continue on.

Post match, Asuka expressed her excitement in Japanese, to which Miz translated as Asuka learning more on how to be a champion from him than anyone else and that he has been an inspiration to her.

Next week’s Mixed Match Challenge will see the team of Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman take on SmackDown’s Becky Lynch and Sami Zayn.
