The Queen of the Ring Tournament is reportedly set for the month of May.
It would take place on May 27 which would make two premium live events in May. WWE Backlash is planned for the beginning of May. This is being reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.
It had been previously reported that WWE did inf fact trademark “Queen of the Ring” and had intentions of bringing back King of the Ring as a stand alone premium live event to include the tournament for both the men and women.
In 2021, WWE held its first women’s tournament names then as Queen’s Crown. The tournament was met with a lot of criticism from fans due to the very short match times.
The finals took place in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel where Zelina Vega was crowned by defeating Doudrop. This led Zelina to go by the Queen moniker and eventually won her first title in WWE, the Women’s Tag Team Titles with Carmella.
This has not been confirmed by WWE at the time of this writing.
