Today, the team of Asuka and Kairi Sane received a name. WWE is currently in the United Kingdom this week filming tapings for their programming and SmackDown has already taken place.
Earlier today, NoDQ reported that the team will be known as The Kabuki Warriors. The duo emerged last month managed by Paige.
Paige brought Kairi Sane up from NXT to join Asuka as a formidable challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. The IIconics won the tag team titles at WrestleMania and haven’t received competition since. Paige announced last week, The Kabuki Warriors will be facing the team of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville this week.
Today, a backstage correspondent interviewed Deville and Rose in a WWE Exclusive. Inquiring minds wanted to know how they prepared for their upcoming match against a “dominant team.” They didn’t seem worried and they scoffed at the idea that The Kabuki Warriors were a dominant team.
