Ever since the announcement of the WWE brand split taking place on July 19th, speculation regarding the placement of the women of WWE has been a very popular topic amongst women’s wrestling fans.
Some reports have stated that the women will end on one brand, whilst others have said something different.
During a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the placement of the women was yet again addressed.
It seems that the women will be appearing on both RAW and SmackDown – though no discussion regarding the placement of the Women’s Championship was brought up. Though it is still speculation, the split rosters could mean that only one brand would get the current belt, whilst the other may receive a new one.
Having the women on two brands also means that more women will be used. Out of the current roster, 12 of the women are uninjured/able to wrestle, which includes inactive talent such as Alicia Fox, Eva Marie and Naomi. This would mean that developmental call-ups from the likes of Carmella, Alexa Bliss, Bayley, Asuka and co. may be necessary to fill the void of two rosters.
