After a door-shattering announcement this past Tuesday on WWE’s NXT, we now have our eyes set on tonight’s TNA Impact! as they head towards their 20th anniversary show!
To kick off Knockouts action, Steph De Lander is set to face off against Xia Brookside. Recently, SDL has caught the attention of one PCO, but tonight has Kon in her corner. Meanwhile, Brookside is smiling confidently after taking out Ash By Elegance two weeks ago.
SDL begins to knock off Brookside with her power and size advantage, but Brookside’s experience edge manages to get her out of harm’s way.
Shades of two weeks ago, Brookside tries to knock out SDL, but SDL ends up running out of the ring. SDL tries to pick up a chair from under the ring but meets one PCO. Brookside tries to crossbody SDL but is caught by PCO in the process. A disoriented SDL makes it back to the ring but meets a rollup as Brookside picks up the win.
Post-match SDL is disgruntled over her loss and PCO apologizes with what looks to be another gift.
Next, we take a look back on this past week’s WWE NXT as it was announced that NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez will be defending her title against TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace at NXT Battleground. Grace is set to be in action next week on NXT as she faces Stevie Turner.
TNA Hall of Famer Gail Kim sits down with Gisele Shaw to talk about Shaw’s recent journey that she’s been through. Shaw states that after losing her Knockouts title opportunity she had to take some time off to recover from injuries physically and mentally. Shaw has always wanted to come back but is having trouble finding a start after losing so much. Kim then goes on to ask what “The Quintessential Diva” was fighting for and why she got into the business in the first place. Kim reminds Shaw that she is a Knockout and wants her to continue finding her answer starting next week.
Meanwhile, Spitfire looks to regroup after Jody Threat suffered a loss last week against Tasha Steelz. Rancid’s Lars Frederiksen informs them that he’s talked to Santino Marella and Dani Luna will be facing off against Steelz.
