“Your Two Cents” is our interactive feature where we gauge the opinions of our Twitter and Facebook followers on different discussions in women’s wrestling.
This week, we’re asking this: If you could pick one (only one!) female independent wrestler to be signed by WWE or TNA, who would it be? We’ve read your responses on our social media pages and picked some of the best submissions to highlight here on the website. As always, you can join the debate by leaving your comments!
Our Two Cents
Batting for Team DD this week, it’s Melanie giving us her personal opinion on this week’s topic:
Melanie: There are a countless number of independent wrestlers worthy of an opportunity with WWE or TNA, but the question is, do they fit with the respective companies? Let’s be honest, WWE and TNA will always factor in looks just as any other television producer would. Most of the people we see on TV look slim, have perfect teeth etc. Having said that, one woman who clearly fits the mold but is also one of the greatest female wrestlers working today is Cheerleader Melissa. We’ve seen WWE finally wake up and smell the coffee with the likes of Kharma and Sara Del Rey, so why not Melissa too? She is a fantastic wrestler and also has the appeal that WWE usually looks for in its Divas aesthetically. No brainer, if you ask me.

Brandon Bray | Without a doubt, Athena! The girl has the total package: looks, charisma, and her insane talent. She is someone that steals the show everytime she’s out there, and owns up to what she said she is, the “Wrestling Goddess”. And she’s still very young. If anyone deserves a shot right now, it would be Athena.

Clinton Bowman | Cheerleader Melissa, just to add to the Indy star power that they already have. That, and cheerleader gimmicks own. |
@FearlessRiOT | If WWE got another Indy female on their roster, I’d probably say they pick Jessie McKay. By being incredibly beautiful, she already fits the Diva look, but she also has the ring skills to back it up. And if she ends up as popular in WWE as she is in Indepedent promotions such as SHIMMER, WWE may have a winner on their hands! |
Jack White | Jessicka Havok to TNA. She could be masked or in all black and attacks the Knockouts after their matches. She could use the Widow’s Peak on Brooke Tessmacher or something to cause a rift between TNT. She continues to cause a rift between all the Knockouts, especially all the former Divas, as they have more or less been given a roster spot while she had to fight. When eventually revealed, she’d destroy the roster and become the monster heel the company is lacking. |
Jemel Green | Personally I think Australian wrestler KC Cassidy would be a perfect fit for WWE, TNA. Kassidy my not be as well known as other female wrestlers among the indy seen but she is not only talented in the ring but has the look that would fit in with the modern day Diva or Knockout. |
Josue Guzman | How about Erin Angel? She is still fairly young in the business, has a well rounded move set and has already tried out for WWE. I can see Erin prove, just like with some of the male wrestlers, that you should never underestimate one’s size with their overall skills.

Peter Chandler | The REAL Wrestling Geek Goddess (sorry AJ) Leva Bates!
@RealSydneyGrace | Mia Yim! She’s so talented, beautiful and a natural. WWE and TNA, sign this girl quickly!
@Sanchomx | Madison Eagles, hands down, wherever she is, she will make an impact. No pun intended.
