“Your Two Cents” is our interactive feature where we gauge the opinions of our Twitter and Facebook followers on different discussions in women’s wrestling.
This week, we’re asking this: The roster for WWE ’13 was announced over the weekend, so we want to know: of those left out, which one (only one!) current or former Diva would you add to the game? We’ve read your responses on our social media pages and picked some of the best submissions to highlight here on the website. As always, you can join the debate by leaving your comments!
Our Two Cents
Batting for Team DD this week, it’s Erin giving us her personal opinion on this week’s topic:
Erin: To be honest, I haven’t played a WWE video game in nearly 10 years, so thinking about wrestling games is a pretty nostalgic thing for me. I remember having to create Divas like Lita, Molly Holly and Trish Stratus in those early “Create a Wrestler” features, and you can imagine how crappy those turned out. Seeing how Trish and Lita are looking all spiffy in this new game, I can’t help but want to see how a classic Molly Holly would look in the game. She was featured an the earlier game with her heel “pure and wholesome” gimmick, but I’d love to see her in all her WWE ’13 glory as the blonde, smiley Holly cousin.

Ant John | Many will say Layla and Natalya. I’m not one of them as they’d just be a copy and paste from last year, so for me they’re locks for the DLC pack. So out of the others I’m going to go with Tamina. I always welcome a new face in the games, her moves are pretty much already in and I for one would love to fly off the ropes with a Superfly Splash. She’s also been at 3 PPVs this year (when your name isn’t Beth Phoenix, Kelly Kelly or Eve Torres I consider that an accomplishment). Do I think she’ll be in? Probably not, but I would love her to be. |

Eric Holt | Out of any current or former WWE Diva that was not included in the game, I would want to add Chyna to the game. Despite the fact that Chyna and WWE aren’t on good terms and despite the fact that her current career choice may not be so PG, she played a HUGE role in the Attitude Era. She started off as a member of D-X. From there, she started competing in matchups against men and showed the world that she possessed amazing wrestling skills and that she could compete with the guys, despite the fact that she’s a woman. Her success in the men’s division led her to becoming the first and ONLY woman to have ever held the Intercontinental Championship. She was a part of an interesting, yet entertaining love angle with Latino Heat Eddie Guerrero. She later dominated the women’s division and won her first Women’s Championship. Chyna was a HUGE star in the Attitude Era. No matter what career Chyna is currently pursuing and no matter if WWE and Chyna are on good or bad terms with each other, that shouldn’t be a reason not to have her be a part of this game. After all, there are former WWE Superstars that may not be on good terms, yet they were still playable in WWF/E games. Please THQ, put Chyna in the game. It would be a logical decision. |

Eric Lecuyer | Even though she’s not used persistantly, I’d like them to acknowledge Rosa Mendes considering she’s been in the company for so long. |
|
@evilisfun | I would add Luna Vachon. She’s so much a part of the Attitude Era. I mean, would Sable have been Sable without Luna to carry her? Who knows. |
|
@GregLucM | I’d say someone current, except I don’t care. So, I’ll say: Molly Holly, with her Mighty Molly outfit. |
|
Josue Guzman | Natalya. Aside from being one of the most talented and technical wrestlers of today’s generation, I actually think Natalya has had a memorable year. Yes, the farting gimmick was a huge burden on Natalya but she never seemed to complain and rolled with whatever ball WWE was giving her. Her turning on her students, The Chickbusters, to team up with Beth Phoenix to form the Divas of Doom sparked some interest in the Divas Division again. Alas, WWE dropped the Divas of Dooms storyline but that doesn’t mean I can’t finish it while playing WWE ’13! The only problem is I can’t do that if one half of the Divas of Doom is missing! |
|
Kris Thys | I would add Layla because she is the Divas Champion. Returned from injury, she was the main focus of the Divas division in the beginning of the year and 2 years ago she and Michelle McCool were the dominators of the division. So that’s why I think Layla should added. |
|
Luc Tempest | Although it’s weird not having Natalya there, I would’ve chosen Sable. She WAS the Attitude era, and it would be fun if they had her involved in a Brock storyline mode |
And now we turn it over to you…
