Our Two Cents
Batting for Team DD this week, it’s Katelyn giving us her personal opinion on this week’s topic:
Katelyn | At first, I actually found this question hard to answer. Out of all the Divas in WWE’s history – who would be the five for my ‘dream team’ for a Survivor Series match? I was able to include both past and present Divas. The first two choices came to me pretty easily: Trish Stratus and Lita. Possibly two of the company’s most iconic female wrestlers ever, they had great chemistry both as enemies or as tag partners (let’s keep in mind they held their own quite well against Chris Jericho and Christian in 2003!). Lita has only returned to the WWE twice since her retirement in 2006 and neither time was for a match. She’s been gone long enough that I think an in-ring return would be fun and well-received. I would next choose “Sensational” Sherri Martel and Luna Vachon – both talented workers in their respective heydays (and missed dearly by me). Rounding out my dream team would be my favourite of WWE’s current Divas – Miss Natalya Neidhart. It would be a mixture of unique wrestling styles, looks and different generations of female wrestlers… and a very formidable team. Whomever their opponents would be, I don’t think they would stand much of a chance.

Sarah Flannery | Aja Kong, Bull Nakano, Natalya, Molly Holly and Beth Phoenix would have to be my picks as they are the strongest wrestlers that have ever been featured in the women’s division in the WWF/E. |

@EricLeeBailey | Trish, Lita, Molly, Victoria, Mickie. Power, speed, skill, chemistry. Familiarity with each other helps them work as a unit. |

Megan Travis | Beth, Natalya, Molly, Jazz and Kharma. Natalya and Molly are in my opinion the two best technical female wrestlers that have ever stepped foot in the WWE and Beth, Jazz and Kharma are three of the most powerful. That would be a hell of a team to beat. |

@Jack5326 | Amy Zidian, Amy Weber, Joy Giovanni, Rebecca DiPetrio and Anastacia Rose… ok just kidding, although my dream team of Kharma, Alicia Fox, Trish Stratus, Beth Phoenix and Melina could certainly beat them up for us all! I chose Kharma because she has to be the hottest female commodity ever signed by WWE. She would be unstoppable force behind this team leaving other’s quaking in their boots. Alicia is one of my favourites, and the ‘sassy and classy’ one (as I like to call her) would be entertaining to watch with her sick bumps. Trish would be my third pick and the Team Captain. What needs to be said really? She is one of my all time top Divas and could either get the crowd rooting for her or switch her bitch on in a heartbeat! The Glamazon would definitely be a sneak-attacker in the team and would hit some sick double-team stuff with Kharma, slingshot suplex into the Awesome Bomb sound good? Finally, I chose Melina as as a Face or Heel, she was epic! |

Josue Guzman | My Divas of Doom team: 1) Beth Phoenix- Strong leader, powerful, has won multiple championships, won a Slammy for Diva of the year & even competed in the Royal Rumble. 2) Natalya- Currently one of the toughest woman in WWE. Just like Beth, powerful but also technical. She knows her way around the ring and has been trained by some of the best in business. 3) Kharma- I think her promo to WWE speaks for itself. Not having compete in a single match yet, this powerhouse has managed to do a lot of damage to nearly half of the division! Kharma is ready to take these dolls down! 4) Jazz- Past Diva who was an amazing athlete. She played heel so naturally and was def not the typical Diva WWE looks for. A couple Wrestlemania highlights doesn’t hurt either. 5) Shaniqua- Don’t know if a lot of people remember her but she was another powerhouse who was outspoken against “model” Divas. Hell she took on the three Divas at once! She had a lot of potential and talent but her time was cut too short. |

@FearlessRiOT | If I were to form an all-Divas team for a Classic Survivor Series match, the first two members I would recruit would be Lita and Eve Torres not only because they’re my two favorite Divas ever, but also because they both seem to have awesome teamwork and leadership skills, as well as ring skills. I would also recruit Melina for my team. We could use her fierceness and creativity. I would also recruit Molly Holly and Natalya due to their abilities and toughness levels. Lita, Eve, Melina, Natalya, and Molly would be one team that refuses to quit and would hopefully get the victory in the end. |
