SmackDown’s Zelina Vega has had an interesting turn to her character over the past couple of months. One that fans aren’t used to seeing from her. For the first time in Vega’s career she is a babyface.
After taking seven months off due to injury, Vega returned in October as the new face of Legado Del Fantasma. They attacked Hit Row in their debut and this was LDF’s debut on the main roster. They previously had Elektra Lopez as their manager but she remained in NXT.
After several months as heels, LDF have joined up with Rey Mysterio and collectively are going by the name of the LWO. This has turned the whole group as faces in the process. They have been on Mysterio’s side during the feud with Dominik Mysterio and the rest of the Judgment Day including the newly crowned SmackDown Women’s Champion – Rhea Ripley.
While speaking with Ryan Satin on Out of Character, Vega discusses her influence on LDF and also becoming a babyface. Something she has never done in her entire career. She feels being a heel is so much easier and it is easier to have people hate you.
